Had a few minutes to surf before work so checked in quickly at one of the other sites. First thing I read was a question about how someone can "safely" tow a 5200 lb boat with an old trailer that needs wheel bearings, has no brakes, has cracked tires, and is being pulled with a 1/2 ton truck. It only has 30 or so miles to go each way, I'm assuming partially on a highway. And endangering everybody's lives by pulling off a stunt like this is way better than paying the pros $400.00 to launch the boat properly. My guess is it will cost at least twice that much to get the trailer to pass a safety inspection and to do what is required of it.
Be careful out there everyone. There are morons like this driving on the same roads as us and our families.
At least most of the responses were indicative of other peoples' concerns. They're lucky they won't give me access to THAT site. Unbelievable!!!!!!!:smt021
