I'm gonna show these pics to my wife, and tell her this is what she should strive for in our ER. Looks great. Is that a 120 volt light switch I see that is not ignition proof? I don't see any evidence of past fires or explosions.

It's a diesel engine room so ignition protection requirements don't apply. But by all means... put some plugs and switches in gas engine rooms... others do it.

Moving in / out, correct?

None of that stuff bolted down? That is the tool box, rode bucket, compressor, batteries, totes and so on.

None of it has ever moved around even in 6 - 8 footers, partially due to the rubber floor covering. The batteries are actually strapped down.

Based on that you're not concerned about extending that experience to when it starts to get rough?

The front battery looks like it is just sitting there, not strapped down.

My preference is to have loose stuff secured so it doesn't become a projectile and impale something important.

Although I agree that everything should be secured, the front battery will not go anywhere, b/c it's secured to the bracket of the 2nd battery that appears to be bolted in. At least this is what I see in the pic. above.

I've toyed with the idea of keeping an air compressor on the boat like you have. Do you have some pneumatic tools? Sure would help out with some of the knuckle-busting things that are on the engines.

On occasion I use a few air driven tools; 1/2" impact wrench & 3/8" drive socket, but you really want a larger unit for this application. This small compressor runs the horn and allows the owner to inflate air toys & tender without blacking out.
