Ahoy!
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Sea Rays, and I finally became an owner of one. It's a 1984 SRV200.
The upholstery is pretty much shot and the floor needs some tlc too. But most importantly, the Mercruiser 228 does not yet run. She's got good compression, and in order to get her up and runnin again I need a good repair manual for that particular year.
I bought Seloc repair manuals for other motors and was not thrilled with the quality of their manuals. Any ideas on where I can start my search, and what do you folks recommend as good repair manuals?
Also, I went to Sea Ray.com and was disappointed to see that they don't have an owners manual available for download for my boat. I'd really like to try to locate one of these owner's manuals too.
As far as outboards are concerned, I don't have a clue about repairing them. However, I/O engines are a different story. I'm pretty good with my tools and troubleshooting ability and need a good manual so I can get out on the water where I belong.
So, I welcome any and all offers of advice- even from you guys that've won the almighty "smart aleck" title. So bring it on! Thanks!
