Brand new to boat ownership, and am hoping for some advice!

1. Boat will be on a lift outside my home with access to water/power. What type of trickle battery charger would be best? How many amps would I need? Do you also have an external battery charger for emergencies? What size would I need?

2. What do you use to keep the vinyl/chrome/railings clean? The bimini poles have a little rust on them - do you recommend a product like Rust Free with a sponge? Do you clean with Simple Green?

3. What type of flares or rescue lights do you keep on board?

4. Do you keep extra gas/oil on board?

5. Have you replaced the original carpet with the new mesh? If so - are you happy with the results?

Thanks for the help!!!

1. Boat will be on a lift outside my home with access to water/power. What type of trickle battery charger would be best? How many amps would I need? Do you also have an external battery charger for emergencies? What size would I need? You may not need a trickle charge if you use the boat regularly. There is a battery on/off switch that you should turn off when you leave the boat. if you will use it 2-3 times a month and your battery is in good shape you will be fine without the trickle charger.

2. What do you use to keep the vinyl/chrome/railings clean? The bimini poles have a little rust on them - do you recommend a product like Rust Free with a sponge? Do you clean with Simple Green? Chrome polish on the poles and 303 Vinyl Protectant on the seats.

3. What type of flares or rescue lights do you keep on board? Buy an Orion coast guard flare/flag kit. It will have everything you need to be compliant. Available at West Marine in a plastic storage case

4. Do you keep extra gas/oil on board? Oil and outdrive lube yes. Gas no.
