Bought the bought yesterday and took it out on the maiden voyage today. Everything went fairly smooth, but as a first time boat owner I have much to learn. I had a really hard time setting the anchor. Definitely going to have to research it more before we go out again. I'm really loving the boat though. I'd been looking at bow riders and deck boats for years, but I saw this boat pop up on Craigslist and thought that it was the perfect boat for our family. Really happy thus far!
I'm having trouble attaching a picture of the boat from my iPad but will try to do so later.

Cheers!

Btw, I'm looking to buy a Bimini too that will cover the back portion of the boat. Can anyone point me in the right direction where I can order one? I have the top which connects to the windshield but there's no shade for the rest of the passengers. Plus, it's difficult to see out of it and it blocks all of the airflow to the rear seating area..

Here's a few pics of the boat.

great lakes boat tops is a great source if you need the whole kit
or modify what you have and add the rear section from a custom canvas maker
I found one for my 240 on craigslist and "made" it work with some mods

and welcome to CSR
nice boat

Welcome to CSR! - The best place on the internet to learn about Sea Ray boats & boating in general.
As for your anchoring, I'll suggest that you be a little more specific. That seems to get the best results here.
Your bimini - Remove the front portion, then follow Jim's lead. Hard to go wrong there.

Nice looking boat! Again, welcome to CSR!

Not knowing how to operate a Danforth style anchor was my problem. I've done a bit research since last weekend and I think I've got a good grasp on the overall concept. Wishing I had a windlass anchor though.. :)

Welcome aboard.

You'll need to add at least 4' of chain to your anchor, that will help it dig in. And congrats on the 220da! We love ours, just enough boat for the 2 of us and easy to get around in smaller coves. Measure the size top you want and check ebay, you'll save some money there.

Thanks for the tips! Any advice on iPhone apps that will give me an approximate MPH? My speedo is currently not working and I'm curious as to how my performance stacks up against other 220 owners.
