Proof of life attached. Boat had water leak from salon skylight. Headliner and cabinet wood rot. Hence the need for cabinets. But I was looking to update instead of just repair to original.
Welcome aboard CSR Tom. Here is a little reading for you.Hi
Just bought a 2006 480. I’m looking to update foooring and cabinets. Any ideas of suppliers that make it easy ? Also need electronics. ? Boat in Ft Lauderdale Florida.
Thanks
Tom
I have dual Garmin 8612 screens on my boat which I absolutely love. I can have my radar running in full screen on one unit. My plotter split with the sonar on another. We do a fair amount of night cruising. I will be able to put the upcoming infrared camera output on one of those screens as well.
I also have a Garmin multifunction unit that splits into a quad to show various data such as depth speed water temp Etc. It's nice to glance up at that from time to time. I guess what I'm saying is my vote is for Garmin for ease of use and simplicity. My last boat had Simrad and they are fantastic as well but given the choice I would go garmin.
Beauty!
Do the Garmins work with the existing brain controller ?I have dual Garmin 8612 screens on my boat which I absolutely love. I can have my radar running in full screen on one unit. I have not seen a 48 Sundancer Owners thread and thought it time to start one. After owning many Sea Rays I have finally moved to a 48 Sundancer. Any suggestions or thoughts anone would like to give me would be appreciated.www.clubsearay.com
Thanks. The 16 Raymarines have a more square aspect ratio and sure fill up the area. I also need to upgrade my smartcraft display (or whatever it's called), and then why not the autopilot. Except they all work fine so maybe just save the coin! You be the judge. These are photos from 48 DAs.
HiWelcome to 48 Club and howdy fellow Ft Lauderdale neighbor. As said above tons of great info on the official 48 Dancer thread

Between a PM I got and the above (thank you dcwjd) it looks like $10-11K for 2 engines is the going rate. Anyone else care to tell us what they paid a professional to do the job? I'm getting mine done by a technician this winter he will do aftercoolers, heat exchangers, valve adjustment...www.clubsearay.com
