I have been out of boating for way too long, father in law gave me the bug again after being out on his boat. I had a few smaller boats, single I/O's and decided to go for it with a 2000 340. I was not able to get electronics to power up (RC 520, RP650 and VHS radio). Found radio has power but will not power up. I knew I would be upgrading electronics after purchase because 10 years is old in the world of electronics. I am thinking maybe it is possible to upgrade to new GPS/chartplotter and use some of the existing autopilot hardware which is in place. Is this just pipe dreaming or should I just scrap it all and start over with all new electronics/components? THanks.
