Jump Seat lift support cylinder on an '03 200BR

I just replaced the one on my 200 select, its probably the same one. The factory part is an Attwood SL36-40-1. The specs are 17.2" extended 10.2" compressed. 40#. I went with a 50# replacement. It does a much better job.

I replaced mine a couple years ago with a 40# cylinder and it's not sufficient. It will hold the seat upright, but it won't keep it from slamming closed. How does the 50# cylinder do with regard to how fast it closes?
