Soon to step up to a sea Ray cabin boat
- Engines
- 5.7 inbds
Well... I am going to get a Sea Ray. I have had my offer accepted on a 1986 srv300. My first cabin boat. Survey and sea trail coming when I get back in town.....
It is a nice clean boat without a bunch of updates. 5.7 engines, v drives, pretty typical. I am planning to do a few projects shortly after I get it.
Is the anchor well deep enough for a vertical windlass? It will get a windlasd, I just need to know what style fits best. Any suggestions?
And it will get a radar arch. I need ideas on which arch to buy. I am thinking a bolt together would be easiest to install as a diy project.
But, first things first. Wish me luck on the survey. Thus is the 3rd boat I have taken to survey on thus boat hunt. I walked way from the first 2. They had issues I didn't want to deal with and the sellers didn't want to fix them for me at my price.
Any input on the model would be great. I will be boating on Puget Sound.
thanks!
Rocky
