I follow Ben, Jim's son, on Facebook & today we saw that he "got some ink"!

Ben does quite well in the sport and has raced all over the eastern half of the country. The link is of his local newspaper. Congratulations Jim.

Fantastic...and so young. Jim your going to be spending a lot of weekends at the track...it should be a blast

If you are a Formula One fan, you will recall that is how Ayrton Senna (3 time F1 Champion) got his start racing - go karts! Jim, I hope I live long enough to see him in F1!

Huge Formula 1 fan here and it's great to see people take karting more seriously here. MUCH better than video games.

BTW, I'll be doing some track days at COTA weekend after next.

Kart racing is very serious stuff. I can tell you first hand its time consuming, expensive, exciting and a great teacher of life's lessons. Kind of like the same thing that brought us all here to CSR!

That is outstanding. Congratulations to Jim, Ben, and family.

Kart racing is no joke. They race hard and can get seriously hurt. Congrats to a diligent driver and dedicated dad. I had some friends that raced shifter carts. Man that some crazy. 80+ MPH sitting 1" of the pavement.

I wrecked my kx80 dirt bike years ago but the engine and components survived the crash so I build a shifter cart out of it. went out and found a frame for 100 bucks and went to town.ended up being the scariest thing I ever drove. clocked in at 91 mph at Englishtown nj. ended up selling it to somebody before I left the track that day for a grand. point of my story is for a six year old to be driving something like that is amazing. for him to have the respect and maturity to operate such a machine is just amazing. good job dad good job!
