I know its not a searay but I have an 01 seapoo gtx direct injecting ski. I've done research but found nothing. I'm getting spark fuel and air into the cyclinder but she won't start. She turns over for as long as I hold the start button but I get nothing. But every so often it will fire up and run at full throttle if I hold the throttle down but as soon as I release the throttle even a little it will shut down. Any ideas?

Don't know about jet skis but on bikes and quads sometimes there is a kill switch inside the throttle assembly that sticks. Getting fuel doesn't rule out carb issues. How often do you run it?

direct injected...if you're getting air, fuel, spark. then it must be timing that is off or it would at least fire.

first try new plugs. Could be dirty injectors , spray some starting fliud into the spark plug holes and put plugs back in then try to start. if using a cheap oil the ijectors will gum up quickly and it wont run. I worked on a few 2 stroke machines as my boys race motocross and snomobiles have been for 12 years. We do all our own work. Also battery needs to be full charged for fuel pump to build up pressure. Fuel pump may be weak or bad. Did your electrical box get wet inside????

I tried the starting fluid in the cylinders I also tried fuel directly to cylinders with no luck. The small battery in the ski is dead so I've been using a brand new blue top I have laying around. As for the box getting wet? Maybe? Its not mine and he never said it did. The timing would b computerized correct? No way to adjust and the kill switch is also computerized

Yup and that's y its not mine. Ill buy honda skis if I ever buy another. Stable strong fast responsive and extremely reliable. And the whole hull comes apart to work on it
