Jazz festival in DC.....

The Admiral and I are in DC for a few days for a conference for her...we went down to the Naval Yard on Saturday afternoon....the weather was perfect and there was a jazz festival going on beside the ballpark...there were some boats anchored in the Potomac river in front of the festival...there were a couple Sea Ray cruisers in the raft up....was just wondering if any of you guys were in the area...

I think that was actually the Anacostia river.

Sure was a beautiful weekend. I went down to the 301 bridge near Colonial Beach. Seems there was an unattended paddle board floating around and the Coast Guard was looking for the paddler. Not sure if they turned up.

You are right...it is the Anacostia river...thanks for correcting me...we had a great time listening to the music and eating dinner at Whaley's restaurant...

Sounds like a great time. They have really redeveloped that area. Now they are redeveloping the Southwest water front. That used to be a not so nice part of town.
