on my quest to remedy the vertical motion issue with my 330da searchlight , I came across these guys on ebay selling another unit. they quoted $250 to repair the unit and have most parts in stock as they are a jabsco dealer / repair shop. looking at what it would cost to replace the switch unit alone , this isn't bad at all. guys name is dave
I was about to purchase a replacement different light , but he advise that the one I have is far superior and worth the repair. I have the stainless 5" that most of us know from the 1995-2000 era 330

The design of the Jabsco lights is not very robust, especially if you are in brackish or salty water. Not worth repairing in my view. I've owned several in the past that were on new boats that we have purchased over the years. They were mostly junk. ACR makes a decent light that can handle rough water and wakes without breaking. Here is a pic of one that is pretty robust.
