Jabsco Search light

I've had huge problems with my silver metal encased Jabsco Search Light on my 310 Sundancer. First it quit rotating in any direction then the light went dead . I believe they sell some kind of replacement kit that I haven't bought yet. A replacement light is like $1000.00

Mine was broke like that when we got the boat. Removed it since we no longer travel at night, seemed pricey for a useless to us piece of equipment.
