JABSCO 62026 Spot Light Repair

Has anyone taken this thing apart? I want to replace the rubber boot and have it re chromed but I need to separate the housing from the gear system. Looking at it, I am not sure how the shaft separates from the gears. I don't want to break it. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks George

I had the Jabsco unit apart last year but just to add a gasket. You probably have it figured out by now. Let us know.
I bought a used Guest unit that is very similar. It uses set screws to connect the housing to the post but all the wires need to be unthreaded through the center of the post.
I could not find a replacement gasket. The gasket I put in was a simple piece of flat rubber. Works ok but not that great.
If you find a replacement gasket, let us all know where it came from.
