Has anyone played with Remote for Itunes? This is an application that can be downloaded to you Iphone, IPad, or Ipod Touch. It requires WiFi networking.
I like this application for many reasons and the first is I can have my Laptop direct connected to my sound system. I like direct connection as compared to any Bluetooth or similar wireless connection for the audio quality. The second reason is I just have not seen and in dash that can find a song as simple as I can find a song on an IPod with click wheel. I find it rather difficult to locate artist or songs on any IPod compatible in dash. Displays are small and, well, no click wheel for ease. I also don’t want to stand in front of my in dash to look for songs.
With your ITunes loaded CPU or laptop direct connected to your sound system and the "Remote" application loaded on the aforementioned Apple gadgets you have some incredible control over Itunes including, but not limited to, JukeBox. Because I am not a regular user of play list JukeBox allows me to build my play list on the fly. You may also allow other users on your network to request songs using their Apple gadget. I picked up the IPod Touch and use it solely for the "Remote" application. I like seeing the album art along with everything else I have come to enjoy with ITunes/IPod.
