Im selling my 1988 Sundancer. It's bitter sweet but based on our needs at this time a smaller boat is more appropriate for our day boating and traveling needs. I listed it on Ebay this morning as well as craigslist here locally in SE Michigan. it's a beauty. I wish i could keep her and get another boat as well but finances wont allow so it's time for her to go.

If you want a smaller boat my 240 is on the Indianapolis CL ....priced to go and water ready

Knowing what I know now about 268's and what I went through to restore mine, I would have bought this boat in a heartbeat.

If anyone is thinking about getting into one of these boats, I would highly recommend this ole girl!

Your price is way too low in my opinion....

He's got it listed for $12,500 on Ebay with it going to 14K in the spring.

Great deal even at the spring price.

Thanks for the complements. I also feel it's a bit low, but something is only worth what someone is willing to pay and a 25 year old boat to most is too outdated, regardless of condition so it only appeals to a small demographic of people. We all know why i bought this boat, as for the same reasons you would be most people dont get it. Ive had two tire kickers already and they low balled me. 1 after i had taken a sea trial. I told the 3rd that im not a charter service and that if your coming to look at the boat you wont be disappointed and should have your financing in order and have looked at several other boats already. Then we can go for a ride. Im leaving it in the water for another 2 weeks as long as the marina water holds up. There's a local boat show next weekend so hopefully some people will have sticker shock on some of those and go looking for a good boat for penny's. If not i will store it and go at again in the spring. I hate to sell her but i cant have everything at one time. I really need a jet boat because here on lake st. clair with the water as shallow as it is all of the time your limited. With a Yamaha 242 limited i can go in 14 inches of water and get just about anywhere at 50 mph and have all the amenities of a bow rider, including toilet but with no OD, transmission and it's smaller to trailer to other lakes up north here. I think it's a better fit for us. We never slept on the boat in 2 seasons and have only gone on 2 day trips and they were 4 hours. We primerely go out and anchor and swim.

When we sold our 260 DA earlier this year we had to adopt a policy of getting a cash deposit before a sea trial. There are way too many people out there who will waste all kinds of your time when they really have no intentions of buying anything. We found that if someone is genuinely looking for a similar boat and they have narrowed their choices down, they have absolutely no qualms about forking over a few thousand dollar refundable deposit before a sea trial. If they can't, then how will they come up with ALL of the money to buy it eh? It's just a way of weeding out the bananas. Good luck.
