Hey Russ, saw your post on Boatdiesel.com. Great bunch of guys that you can get a lot of great information from. FYI, I do all my own maintenance on my Cummins b series and saved a bunch of money due to the experts at boatdiesel. The maintenance really is easy to do once you get some insight. Good luck with everything.

Nice find on a beautiful boat. I'm not familiar with the mooring whips and have never seen them used on a boat that big. Do they work pretty well in keeping her off the pilings?

Thanks, yes surprisingly they do work really well, it takes considerable strength and body weight to pull the boat in close to jump on without letting out the whips. I would not trust them in extreme conditions but it is a pretty protected canal/neighborhood off of the bay.

Truth be told Ric I was happy with this great 450 on LI until my wife reminded me that it was the same boat as yours so I had to pass and find a bigger one! ;-)
