If it's not broken, a complete disassemble and thorough soaking/cleaning with vinegar may resolve your issues.

Sprayer head and hose are all standard items. Pickup a nice stainless stell hose and small shower head on Amazon. Don't forget about a cutoff if you want one. Do measure well to make sure it fits.
