Went to the Marina office this weekend to pay for another year. I was a bit shocked when my slip went from $1200 to $1600 for a 20 by 10 covered slip. I know thats not anywhere near what most of you pay on the board, but thats a pretty big increase percentage. I am ok with increases but over 30 percent increase with the fuel costs made me reconsider. I have until July to decide if I want to stay or shop for soemthing a bit closer to home.

Nope, I'm still paying $950 for 14 X 40 uncovered slip.We haven't had a increase in 4 yrs. :smt038.

Our electric did go up from $50 to $75 bucks per season.

No, but I'm getting Raped just the same!! One of my Dock Buddy's just read the "Riot Act" to the.... Marina Management that the conditions at said Marina are Poor at Best!
Steve in this economy your Money Talks! See what's out there and what facilities they offer! The only reason I'm staying at my Marina is that's where I bought my Boat and their a MM facility! I have no problem with their service dept. but I think the "Shirts" think they have a Cash Cow and don't do any Upgrades or Maintenance unless someone opens up their Mouth ! I will be searching for a new Slip in the area if things don't improve. For what I'm paying I could probably throw another Grand and get a slip at the Foot of Manhattan! ...... and What a View :wow:

My slips are basically the real estate taxes I pay which are about the same as a nice slip in Grand Haven. My winter storage fee has not changed in years.

You're KILLIN' ME!!! Really?? $950!! I was paying $5200 for 40x18 uncovered, but found a 40x14 covered for a little less only a mile down river. The new place is much nicer but no on-site mechanical. Oh I'd love to know what $950 annual feels like.... I guess that's the price I pay for living in the DC area!!

Mine doubled, went from $0.00 to $00.00, got to love having a friend that owns a marina and gives you a free slip and hydro.

Ours went down around 370.00 or about 10% from our previous year which is a covered slip. Most all marina's in our area have dropped their rates this year as the number of open slips increase. We would have preferred they kept the cash and spent it on upgrades at the marina instead. Slip rates don't generally control where you go as much as how well the facilites are maintained and improved while you are there IMHO.

Paid the same as the last two years - but a lot of open slips this year and a lot of new boaters in the 24-30' boat range in slips that were occupied by longtime boaters that didn't return this year.

Price was held at $ 3,947.00 45' slip, water, wireless internet and power included. No roof no cable!

I pay $2520/year for a 20'x60' covered slip in a marina that's only 3 years old. That includes water but not electricity.

I'm at $3500.00 per year summer season only (boat comes home for off season) Our rates have not increased in 4 years.

Stayed the same. About $3000 per year for a 40' covered slip, plus electricity. I stay in the water year-round.

In Connecticut I am paying $6K for a 38 ft uncovered slip with electric, water, and cable... That's just summer! Winter is another $1800+ shrink wrap. I guess on the bright side we didn't get an increase.:smt021

I am paying $5500 for the summer, $2200 for the winter plus another $5000+ for shrink and winterizing and maintenance. Just got the canvas done for $6800 last year and the bottom blasted and barrier coated for $5500 this year- guess it's all relative. I think I am moving south!

As I said before living out in cow country has its perks. :smt001
But, I don't get to party at all the cool places that you guys do. :smt021

We'll be changing marinas this weekend. Currently $660 per month plus electricity and will save right around 50%. The marina is not as nice but we do have a bunch of friends that just moved there as well.

My slip hasn't gone up, but considering what I'm paying for a slip for a 24ft boat, I think it's about maxed out. Just checked the invoice, $3460.00 for the summer, uncovered, no cable, no internet, no water. On the bright side, I do have electricity. I'm trying to convince the wife it would be cheaper to buy a waterfront house, but she ain't buying it!
