Guess these people like a lot of shade?

Believe it or not, yup - some years it was even an option on certain Sea Ray Sundecks. Some people have sun issues (sensitive skin, cancer, etc) but don't want to give up boating or leading a normal life.

Looks like a 'toon.

That is actually a very popular option or custom addition to SunDecks here in Florida.......the melanoma capital of the world.

Ain't that the truth!!!

May not look to snazzy, but it allows use of the entire boat out in the sun, and you can always take some of it down if needed. I like it, although it looks funky.

At 105F in the Dallas area, you will wish you had one. There are parts of the summer mine does not come off...

I have seen Sundecks with that in our area. Smart people continue to boat. My mom has had skin cancer from years of boating and when sunscreen wasn't a popular thing.
