This thread raises an interesting question. Everyone believes this boat is a beyond repair as far as hull damage. But if someone out there needed to replace their 3126s or wanted to upgrade from 3116s, these engines are probably in excellent condition with low hours. How much would those engines sell for on the market? Are used diesels an easy $5-10k or could someone actually get $40-50k out of those? I have no clue.

Z, sure you could pawn the engines...I guess. But see post #18 for the other baggage. The guy who owns this boat should explore that option, since he already owns it. To buy the whole thing and then try and turn it into cash could lead to a loss.
