I bought Formula 210 and it works nice cleaning, But also want a type of RainX for the days I can't roll up and have to drive in the rain. Anything out there?

Thanks

No. The best thing for that purpose is to polish the panels with the appropriate polish so it beads water. RainX, Pledge, Plexus, etc. will damage the vinyl surface and dull it quickly.

But it is more complicated than that. If you have Isinglass, the OEM stuff Sea Ray uses or the least expensive replacement, it has no long term coating to protect it, but that just means the products listed above will attack the surface more quickly. If, however, you have upgraded panels you probably have Strataglass which does have UV and scratch resistant coatings. In that case, you should not use anything on the clear panels except IMAR cleaner and IMAR polish.

Serious Shine works nicely on the eisenglass.

Thanks Frank for the link and insights...

My new to me panels must be Strataglass as I found some IMAR polish in the cleaning bucket the previous owners left. I have to say for being 2 years old they look awesome much better then my old eisenglass looked at the age of 2 must be what I was using on them. Can you roll up the panels to store them is that the "recommended" way. I see on the web site they recommend using bed sheets to separate the panels which I will do. Once that is done is rolling them loosely OK?

I found a full windshield cover that zippers to the bimini and snaps to in front of the windshield on the boat. I figure I would put that on in the hotter months up north here when i really don't need to have the strataglass panels out day and night in the sun. But reading the web site it says that leaving them on, snapped tight and out in the elements is fine... Any thoughts on my plan?

Thanks!!

Yes, you can roll up Strataglass. Putting a towel or part of a sheet in when you roll up the panel protects the clear panel from abrading on itself which will scratch them and wear thru the protective UV & scratch resistant coatings. Avoid storing the rolled up panels in a hot place like in your car. We just lay ours out on the front bunk, unrolled but with sheets between the panels, unless we are going to spend the night on the boat.

I've used Pledge 2x moisturizers on my isinglass, gauges and upholstery for years.
My gauges are still shiny, original upholstery in nice shape and glass still flexible and clear.

My boat came with EZ2CY panels that the previous owner had installed last season. The center one can be pulled back and secured to the arch for additional ventilation. He had an extra one of those made up and when it get the boat I was rolled up with a sheet of tissue paper protecting it. Looks like that's the way he got it for the installer, so that's likely the way the manufacturer wants it stored.
It's nice stuff with great visibility, but it looks like it can scratch easily.
As far as cleaning, so far I've only used regular boat wash soap on a soft microfiber chenille mitt followed be a good rinse.
They sell a scratch remover and polish for it in their website, but I haven't gotten it yet. I didn't see any kind of RainX type product listed for it. I'm not sure, but I think those types of repellant products would create a film that might make plastic products cloud.
If you're not sure of which product you have, you could try taking a section to a local canvas guy and they can probably tell you just by looking at it.
