Is there any known cure for footitis?

Inflation has caused two-footitis to be four-footitis...and the disease is a great feeling! I just went from a 23' bow rider to a 260DA. We've been out twice and I already caught my wife looking at 280 and 300s...much to my surprise and liking. It won't happen anytime soon, but like someone else said...it's always fun to dream...

Why would you want to cure it? Living without a dream, a wish list and/or a hope is very depressing. We loved every boat we had and all the trips we took with family and friends make it all worth the "hassle of ownership".

I whole heartedly second that. If you get the itch, I say scratch it.
Remember that every hour spent on the water is one more hour added on to the end of your life.

Chapter 11 is the only cure... and I guess that's still only remission...

40k year college tuition cured me…for now

LOL, some great suggestions here. I think I may have talked myself down....but there is that 380 with only 100 hours on it.

How about 3 kids in sports and realizing there is no time for it?

Same here-- sometimes I'm rooting against making the team or rooting for a loss so we don't make "playoffs". Every weekend until July is booked. Boat just sits there.....lonely.....

Well so much for talking myself down. I talked to the wife and we are going to informally put the 310 on the market. Meaning we are going to let the marina know that we are selling it and to send people who are looking to us. It probably won't lead to anything but there is a lot of value out there in bigger boats right now and I'd like to take advantage of the market.

I have the cure - We moved from the Chesapeake to the middle of a corn field in Indiana... the closest water is a puddle. The only cure was a much smaller boat... so just move...your boat will actually shrink

My story goes like this 22',23',240DA, 260DA, 280DA. The 240 to 280 took place in a period of only 6 years. I am now so upside down on the 280DA, that I still look but trading is out of the question. Besides we are in a coverd slip that the biggest boat that will fit is a 300DA or a 310DA and I am not giving up anoyther 40k just to move up two more feet. Besides we love our 280DA.

I love my 300 but we're still in the honeymoon stage. look that 360 overthere looks very nice, #*%@

No known cure I would say! Love that 480DB!
