Hello,

I want to install an in-hull fishfinder transducer in the bilge (engine room) of a 2001 Searay 310 Sundancer. Does anybody know if the hull is made of solid fiberglass? (VIN=SERT). According to the installation instructions, the transducer should be mounted in a place where no coring, flotation material, or dead
air space is sandwiched between the inside skin and outer skin of the hull. Ideally, it should be mounted well ahead of the propellers and shafts, close to the centerline, so do you know if the hull at that area is made of solid fiberglass?

Thanks

Did you install the in hull transducer? I have same boat & wanted to install new one but didnt because I didn`t want any potential water issues.

Hello Got2Cuff,

i finally decided to go with a thru-hull low profile transducer, probably using the same hole that Tridata's sensor is using. The existing set up includes a Raymarine A65 GPS, a Raymarine LN-300 GPS and Tridata. I am planing to keep A65, install a new Lowrance HDS9 Gen 2 touch GPS/fishfinder and remove the LN-300 and Tridata.

please let me know if you need any more data
