Is boat US worth it?

Check your insurance....mine has unlimited towing insurance. If I have to call Sea Tow, I get reimbursed.

With insurance you have to pay out the cash once the two is complete and then get reimbursement from the insurance company. With BoatUS and Sea Tow you only have to pay the deductible that you have. That makes life a lot easier, esecially if it is an expensive tow.

Reading down this thread to see if anyone mentioned the clout that BOAT/US carries politically and, of course, Frank brought it up.

Aside from discounts and towing and insurance, the money you pay supports the lobbying effort in Washington. Boaters need a voice and a watchdog group. BOAT/US was instrumental in getting the recreational boater's exemption extended two years ago. If this exemption was allowed to sunset, we'd all be installing grey water holding tanks in our boats to collect the runoff from our galley sinks.

There are things that we'd never even know about were it not for BOAT/US's efforts to not only keep us informed but to work on our behalf to make politicians see how silly and oppressive laws can affect the entire industry.

Thank Gents I signed up for unlimited Saltwater! Since talking politics is a heated topic on this site these day I will leave it that I agree with Frank and Rondds and hope my donation will help fend off the Gov't from controlling yet another aspect of our lives.
