Installed Monitor Closed cooling last season.
With the by pass tube and smaller circulating pully like on a horizon engine. Everrything seams to be sorted out.
Water temps here are in the 60's
I believe they gave me a 160 deg stat.
The original stat for raw water cooling was 160. I also DID NOT change the ecu's
The engines run fantastic!
So im wondering if i am running too cool?
Maybe it has something to do with the sensor location or the tstat location.
Would the ecu drive the injectors to flow rich-er at this temp? ....wasting fuel?
Thoughts?
