When I'm using my iPhone on the boat, the one thing that bugs me is that it rips through the battery, especially when I've got a navigation app running. Just saw and purchased the mophie juice pack air (whatever the air thing means). it's basically a sleeve that the phone fits into. it's supposed to hold 2 times the battery power that the iphone has so if you've got a full iphone charge and a full mophie charge, you've got 3 times the life. We'll see.

here's a pic. it about doubles the thickness of the iphone.

it varies widely. If i'm using it like a phone and emailing etc... i get about 8-10 hours from the battery. If i'm playing a game or watching a movie, it drops to about 4 hours. If i'm running a navigation app with GPS and 3G network going, I get about 3 hours.

I don't have and never will have one but that is a pretty slick idea they should do that for others phones (or maybe they do)

Watching a movie on an Iphone? No wonder you were amazed when your Glomax antenna and TV's started working.

I've got the original juice pack....its pretty chunky but keeps me mobile when the battery gets low. It will charge the phone battery 2x on a single charge of the juice pack.
