iOS 16.2

Released this morning, supposed to be last release until September. I am hesitant to install, still on 15.7.
Anybody pulled the trigger and get it? Issues?

I have it installed on my iPhone 13 Pro. No issues that I have noticed. Battery life seems to be the same as whatever IOS 15 version I had before.

On a related note, my iPAD is now not able to be updated from IOS 15.x I guess its time to upgrade. I'm not chasing the latest and greatest tech so I wait until true functional obsolescence kicks in. For the iPAD (my 3rd one), its pretty much time now.

That ipad must be old. Apple usually supports upgrades for at least 5 years.

It is old. Its an Air 2 with Cellular (for Navionics).

I also have an old iPhone 4 in my glove box in the car, with my entire music library on it, plugged into the USB connector. I keep it there so I can always play my library (yeah, I know about spotify LOL). And also for an emergency phone. Even phones with out a SIM card can be used to make emergency 911 calls, so that is one reason its there.

That phone may be worth $$$ some day. Or not.

I always take all of the updates as they are rolled out for phones, iPads and my laptop. My son is the CEO of a Silicon Valley software company, and an Apple consumer for years. He knows a lot about computers and software and told me to stay current with updates. I have followed his advice. So far there have been no issues with updates.

Waited a couple of days to respond, upgraded my IPhone 12 and IPad 6th gen, the day you posted, both show 16.2 version, no issues with either but I’m not a big “features” guy. Hookup and do what you’re supposed to do. I did notice the built in IPad weather app has some nice improvements and seems faster.

Been running 16.2 for a few days on my iPhone SE 2nd Gen without issue. No problem talking to my older Macbook Pro over iTunes.
