just replaced the starter motor on the port engine. last few uses it has started ok... had the throttle on forward, maybe had to pump a little.

yesterday it wouldnt start at all - not even firing. tried with the emergency start too - still not firing.

today with throttle set to forward it started on the second turn and held, idling at 800 revs. restarted it several times subsequently and fired first time from neutral every time.

batteries are topped up and good.

it has done this before and is always harder to start than the starboard engine.

any ideas guys? what do i need to check first? plugs? fuel?

Shift interrupt switch? Do you have a safety/kill switch (I don't think you do, but not sure)?

We'll need a little more info from you, including what engines you have (you can put them in your signature).

What do your plugs look like? Do you get spark when it doesn't fire off? Does your fuel pump energize?

My first thought is something electrical - not bad fuel.
