The hour meter on my Port engine is intermittent and when tapped it comes on briefly then goes dark again. Hours are not being recorded while it is "dark". Currently 670 hours and wondering if these are prone to failure? I have had the boat out several times since I noticed it and some times it logs hours the entire day while others it is off and on. I removed the console and checked the connection they looked fine with no loose or corroded connections. Any thoughts on possible trouble shooting this issue? As always, Thanks gentlemen
