I have a 2006 Sundancer 320. A bass boat hit my starboard side at about 40 mph. The state police water patrol placed the blame on the bass boat with failure to keep proper lookout and inattention. The bass boat is insured through State Farm and I have a Atlantic Speciality yacht policy with an agreed value.
Along with the fiberglass damage there is significant damage to the cabinets and the starboard interior from the impact. The Cherry veneer on the woodwork is cracked/busted. MarineMax checked and the cabinets are no longer available nor do they have the veneer.
Question- if parts are not available for repair and they consider total loss will the other insurance pay my agreed value or do they pay ACV and my insurance makes up difference ?
Still waiting on adjuster to look at boat, they want to pull it and most marinas are swamped with winterization.
