I am getting ready to install a new "Wood" Flood in my SD 340. I have all of the carpet ripped up and am debating between vinyl plank (similar to life proof from HD) or a Engineered wood (all wood). I like the look of both, however I need to bend, and feel the vinyl would be easier. The vinyl has a pad on it, and I am worried that the pad might come up, especially if I glue it down. I am concerned if I don't glue the floating floor it will shift.

I would like to keep the padding, just for some cushion. I am also leaning toward vinyl because we travel with pets and occasionally they have "accidents".

Go with solid vinyl - level the surface and glue down. Real wood can only absorb or trap moisture that may lead to warping.

I just did a floating vinyl floor in my 89 340. Glued it on the hatches and some vertical surfaces. Took some time but turned out nice.
