My question is the drain wire in this cable number five in the instructions.
Where should this wire be installed on the negative terminal block on the top with the negative power lead or should it be with all the negatives that are marked for electronics only

I wired mine to - terminal block under the dash where all the other electronics are connected.

Based on what you showed above, it would terminate at the ground terminal strip, not the negative terminal on the fuse block.

The drain is to shelter from interference and take all stray signals to ground. Connecting it to the negative would induce that signal to the loop and could cause static.

And, only connect a "drain" wire at one end of the cable. If it is already terminated in the molded connector to the Bat Neg then do not terminate it again at the other end. It is important that current doesn't flow (typically called ground loop) on a drain wire especially in sensitive signal cabling.

Spark, once the power is set up, I would connect the camera to a laptop or router with an ethernet cable. The camera can be brought up using its web interface and checked out. Importantly, the firmware version can be checked and updated if necessary. Then, I would connect it to the MFD. When I installed mine, it failed after a couple of weeks. I started a case with FLIR and the tech had me set up the internet interface; I had to dig out the end of the Raynet cable which was inside a cableway. The tech had seen this before; some software glitch that the latest version had solved. The newest version also added an object recognition capability which was new and I wouldn't have known about.

Actually, in the pic with the terminal block(s) ohm out the ground bus with the terminal block ground, if zero ohms then don't connect the drain wire (bare wire). To Tom's point it may create a loop and have noisy video.

Best advice I have seen on here in a while.

New member.First time here. I own a 1990 Searay 390 express and I'm having issues with starboard engine battery . Something is draining charge from it and not sure what direction to take. Would appreciate any advice Thanks

Plenty of youtube videos on finding the source with an amp meter. Automotive would be the same method as a boat. Get the meter hooked up and start pulling fuses 1 at a time.
