Has any"DIY's" install a Garmin 4208 chartplotter on a 2005 320 DA flush mounted in the left side of the helm which measures about 11.25" square. Just wondering if it will fit before I purchase it. Also is the installation difficult. I see there is a buse box for assessories under the dash which makes power easy. How about running the attenia down from the radar tower?
Any other comments?

Thanks

Download the manual from Garmin's website - it should have a template.

Fishing the wire through the arch isn't too bad. Helps to have another set of hands. Look for your access points: cover plates, speakers, etc.

Do you have a fish tape?

I didn't do it myself, but I have that exact unit on my 2005 320 and love it!! Would have bought the 12" if it would have fit, but the 8" is the biggest that will go there.

I can't see how a 12" would fit. I have a Northstar 567 and it fits obviously fine. But a 12" would not fit in my mind without serious modifications.
