installed my VHF radio today

just finished installing my standard horizon GX1700. everything went smooth. the only thing i would like to do different is my antenna wire. on a 1986 sundancer 250 the antenna wire comes in the side and behind the small compartment at the bottom of the helm behind the door. i ended up running it out the left side of the storage door and up along the edge of the dash. i would have liked to have ran it behind my gauge cluster and up through the back edge of the dash where i ran the other wires. unfortunately i had to drill holes through the padded dash but that will all be hidden soon.

going to take pics next time i'm down there. looks like we might not make it down there till at least next weekend. i was down there tonight but it was dark. although we may stop down for a few minutes tomorrow. baby-sitting 1 1/2 year old grand daughter tomorrow. not sure about taking her to the marina yet but may stop to show her off to the neighbors...lol. if so i will get pics then
