Jim,Our son has infinity and its uncomfortable and hot on the feet if in the sun. We upgraded to Seadek throughout and boy what an improvement.
Quint, Do you have the patterns or do you send the paper to where I cut the pattern and send it back to you? Thanks, Lance
Ditto to real teak, infinity and many gel coats being hot in the sun. But we don't find that to be the case with our brown faux teak SeaDek.Jim,
I would never disagree with someone's opinion, but - everything - infinity (that I had on my 410), synthetic teak (that my dock mate has on his 58DB - Sea Deck), and real teak (that I have on Reward) - is hot is the sun. Splash a little water on it and it is fine (I know - I HATE it when the boat gets wet - LOL). I am amazed that Sea Ray's white gel coat is cool to the touch in sun, when my dock mates' Carvers white gel coat is HOT in the sun - go figure.
Dave did mine as well. Came out great. This is the second boat I have it in and we love it. The light color makes it not get really hot in the sun. It will get hot but almost never so you need to wet it to be bearable.Canvas medic (Quint4 on here) - Long time member and everyone seems satisfied

That was my experience. If your going with Infinity, use Canvas medic. (Quint4)Canvas medic (Quint4 on here) - Long time member and everyone seems satisfied
Thanks Dave, I will look at them a get back with you, thanks LanceUnfortunately I do not have templates for your 36DB.
We could use your existing carpets as templates or you could make them from 6 mil plastic available from any home store. (Much better to make templates). Don't use 4mil it's to thin.
I measure each area to be patterned and cut a piece of plastic that is a bit oversized. This makes things go easier. I use duct tape to tape the pattern down to the boat deck as I go (cut little triangle holes in plastic it as you work).
If you are going for the "teak" look you MUST make alignment lines on the templates while they are taped down to the deck.
Keep it flat! The templating is the most important part.....take your time. Don't expect to do it in 30 minutes..LOL. Your flooring will be exactly like your templates.
Infinity is a weave made entirely of PVC and is very durable. The backing is also PVC foam which is superior to common urethane backings.
Infinity does not absorb water and does not promote mold growth.
I will send you up to four color samples free of charge.
