Inexpensive Sound System Upgrade

Howd you end up over on the east coast?

I lived my first 20 years in the NW region. Moved to So.Cal to persue a career in entertainment lighting and scenic design. One of my clients, the group "Alabama" made me an offer I could not refuse to work with them fulltime and I finally made the move to Nashville. I was tired of flying in and out of LA 45 times per year, and Nashville seemed to be a much better place to raise my kids.

My Dad was head of the welding shop for a company called "Skagit" in Sedro Wolley. They made spar poles for the logging industry. I can imagine that company is long gone.

woofersetc.com, ebay.com or craigslist are good places to look for audio.

find a head unit you like.

replace your speakers with these or something close:

then think about adding an amp or an extra battery.

or create a post in General Parts Classifieds saying something like "WTB - your old audio stuff". I'm sure others on this site, like myself, have plenty of stuff sitting in our garages that we would be happy to part with.
