We always stored our old boat in an indoor heated storage facility with generator backup. I received the storage prices and did the math for winter storage on our new boat ... that rate per square foot really adds up, :wow:.

I would like to do a price comparison of indoor heated storage (no winterizing, shrink wrapping costs, etc) vs. winterizing, shrink wrapping, etc and outside storage and I need some help.

What must be done if storing outside ... items/systems require winterizing, etc.

Thanks,

Kim

Anything with water in it would have to be winterized. Engine, genny, water system, water heater, water tank, holding tank, etc. Each is usually a separate line item charge from a marina doing the winterization. Shrink wrap and mildew bags once your finished.
