I have a new 190 Sport with the 220 hp 4.3 liter engine. The boat runs great and has great speed but I am wishing it would pull skiers out of the water a little faster. I know this is no competition ski boat, but feel it may have a little more available than what I am getting out of it.

Anyone here have any prop recommendations?

try mercruisers hi five prop.

Its what I used on my 200 select (with 5.0 mpi) for wakeboarding. improves the holeshot a lot, but you'll lose a couple of mph off the top speed and your fuel economy will be a bit worse

I went to a four blade SS prop which helped somewhat, but I think a bigger improvement came from adding trim tabs, SmartTabs in my case. They help the boat get to plane faster and keep it on plane at slower speeds, though they do change the wake characteristics.

I have Smart Tabs and the Mercury High Five (19P). Took it out for its first run of the year a few weeks ago, and was amazed at the hole shot with the High Five.

I agree with the High Five prop. It really made a difference for both myself and my son's boat. He has a Regal 1900 with the fast trac hull. Great hull for top speed but terrible getting up on plane so the High Five did the trick for him.
