So what does the gang see as the cost for reconditioning and repairing a 17 dia prop? Talking about welding a couple of thumb nail sized dings, cleaning up the edges etc.? Thanks in advance.

Who's doing the R&R? The actual work done by the prop shop should run 500-770 total for both props. Could run more if the pitch needs to be adjusted to get max rated rpms corrected.

I just had an 18" prop done for $380. Same type of damage, couple of thumb nail dings and rough edges.

Best I could find with a well respected local place was get a "quote" based on a picture -- about $600 ea. Nobody really wanted to "commit" to a price.

Last time mine was out for tuneup they were $200 each, they took the dings out and repitched both. Mine a 4blade Michagan Wheel

I paid about $900 last winter to have my props reconditioned.
