Well I'm in the hospital. Last Wednesday went in with a 102 temperature. What they found was an infection around my Aortic bicuspid valve. While in ICU my temp went to 106 and had uncontrollable shivering. I thought I was a goner. I am in a regular room now and getting a pic line for antibiotic iv so I can go home. May be out tomorrow. Looking like 6 weeks of that and a valve replacement. Please pray for Nicole and I and family. Today has been emotionally very tought for me but its all in Gods hands.
Thank you Perry And his family for stoping by even I was unable to see you. Also I must thank my company I work for unbelievable support with getting Nicole from Atl to Tpa during this tough time. Thanks and will update as I can.

Good luck, Kevin. Hoping for the best.

Prayers your way. God is looking out for you bro. At a dollar six, you should be flatlined at best and brain dead at worst. Godspeed!

WOW, so sorry to hear your news Kevin. Was only talking about you the other week when we were at Caladesi Island where we met you. Do take good care of yourself. Our family all wish you a very speedy recovery. Prayers coming your way for all of you. Keep us posted.

Sorry to hear Kevin. Prayers sent for a full recovery.

Yup, be sure to tell the docs that boating season is just getting underway so they have to get you back on the boat soon. Our prayers join in with the rest of them.

Yeah, we have a lot of fishing to do this summer so you need to be 100%. Glad you're feeling better. Friday night was pretty scary after we walked into ICU, right after everything happened.

Sorry Perry summer fishing not looking good at this point. Good news I am getting out of the hospital in a few hours. Bad news is my aortic vlv is damaged from infection and now leaking. So six weeks of iv antibodies via a picc line in my arm to my heart. Then I will have a valve replacement and recovery. To top it off we were about to start moving into our new place and the boat is going for a bottom job next week. I had to ask the yard to move it from the marina to the yard as it would be a very bad idea for me to risk falling in now. Hard call to let someone else operate the boat. It will be a first but I know the tech and trust him. I feel ok now but realize my condition and except my situation. I am trusting God and help from family and friends it will work out. I will be watching the forum more with my new found time so I need good storys and pics guys.

Take your time and don't worry about the house and boat (easy to say). Focus on getting strong for the procedure and get yourself well. I had a grandparent go through a similar event and they had a favorable outcome. They were back to an active life after a couple months recovery, and I'm sure you will be too.

I am sorry you are not able to do the things you love right now but it will get better, you are past the worst of it. I will keep you in my prayers.

Kevin, Welcome to the falling apart club. :smt021

Get well soon my creepy internet friend. :smt001

Summer fun you make me laugh. Thanks. I guess I need a web cam too.

Glad to hear you're out, they know what it is, and theres a cure! My father just went in for a lung biopsy last night - he's been in the hospital for two weeks now and has started calling it the "Baptist South Resort and Spa" :smt101
