In search of engine cowling

Hello folks,
I have been searching any website I can think of to locate a cowling for a 2008 3.5 mercury short shaft outboard. I need the one that secures with the outside "latch" type of lock. Not the internal hook type. Any suggestions?

What is wrong with it - is it lost completely or damaged? There are companies out there that refurbish cowlings, paint OB motors etc.

Is this your part number 8M0130974 Try googling for that to see if that's correct (I think it is?). If so, it's still available through Merc dealers - but it's probably $300-some dollars. But, if that's the correct part number, you can maybe find it used somewhere.

Maybe try looking for a Tohatsu model. Tohatsu is the OEM for all the small Mercury outboards.
