Impeller change, Now issue with gear shifter

[Frozen]

Dropped the lower unit and changed the impeller. Put it in forward before removing lower unit and kept it there. Spun the little gear in the front of the lower unit to to forward direction and the prop showed it was in forward. Put the lower unit back on and now it only stays in forward. No neutral or reverse.

Thought on what i messed up? I assume it was with the gear the controls the forward/reverse. And any tips to fix it.

Off to buy more lower unit fluid tomorrow.
