One of many reasons we have the boat in heated storage.

Ugh, looks like my rib cage in July, I wish her a speedy recovery.View attachment 138356 So here in northern Wisconsin after boating season is over we look forward to getting out on the snowmobiles. We have 24”-30” snow on the ground. Last Friday riding with a big group of friends my wife hit a big bump in the trail lost control of the sled and wrapped herself around a tree and broke her leg in 4 places. It’s going to be a long winter for her.
Yeah, and my friend still has his Apex's and wants me to go up. The issue is 5hrs to his house then 6+ to Old Forge. Or drive up directly at 7+ one way. Might be worth it for a week but not for the weekend. Easier to just bitch about it and reminisce ...
Yep could have been a lot worse. But our group has had so many accidents injuries and wrecked sleds. Now my boys are old enough to ride their own sleds. And they’re even crazier than i was. I’m seriously wondering if it’s time to give this nonsense up before someone gets killed…?
The machines have gotten so fast, they demand respect.... Ken Block (Hoonigan Racing Rally Driver) lost his life on a snowmobile this week.Yep could have been a lot worse. Yes most sleds will do 100mph+ but most accidents are at much lower speeds in tight twisty trails. My wife was only going around 30mph when she had her accident. The machines have gotten so fast, they demand respect.... sorry that happened glad it wasn't worse I had coworker whos husband went quad riding and never came home died when he hit a brick mail box died instantly, boats are much safer IMOView attachment 138356 So here in northern Wisconsin after boating season is over we look forward to getting out on the snowmobiles. That’s badass RBB!View attachment 138375 View attachment 138376 View attachment 138369 View attachment 138370 We stay on the boat thru out the winter when the temps r not way below freezing
using electric space heaters and antifreeze to flush. Several of us rented a cabin on the dock itself that a guy used to live in. We all chipped in and remodeled it
and turned it into a bar/party room for members only. It’s not quite done but close. It cost us $600 a month plus electric and water . Infact we had a Christmas party and New Years party all ready.
This also has a kitchenette and head. In fact we always fix a good breakfast the next day.
Other than the leg, thank goodness she’s okay. Sorry to hear this. The snow has been terrible to shovel and made ice fishing a pain, but the sleds are loving this year. Hope she’s on her feet and back on the sleds soon.View attachment 138356 So here in northern Wisconsin after boating season is over we look forward to getting out on the snowmobiles. Thanks Ollie. I think she’s done sledding for good. Probably a good thing. The boys and I are heading north to the cabin for a weekend of riding. Trails have been amazing!Other than the leg, thank goodness she’s okay. Sorry to hear this. The snow has been terrible to shovel and made ice fishing a pain, but the sleds are loving this year. We have a ton of snow in northern Wisconsin. Last Friday when we got to the cabin I had 10” of fresh snow to plow.I'm thrilled that I haven't had much snow to shovel. We had some brutally cold days a few weeks back but that's it so far. I keep waiting for a big one. It'll probably happen in April.....
Ya, I don't care for snowmobiles. The local club approached my neighbor and I about putting trail across our property. They told me he was willing, they told him I was willing. Him and I talked, neither one of us said we would allow it. The only reason they're wanting to move the trail is that they pee'd off some of the other land owners and got booted out.Hmmm, is 90mph safer than 110mph. we live in Appalachia, ORVs year around. not enough snow for ski's. But speed hurts m here to when going thru the woods at 10mph is quick folks r trying to do alot more.
We live about 4/5 miles from Rush Off Road. 7/8 thousand acre off road park.
They haul them out off here all the time. Chopper some of them.
Don't talk like thatI keep waiting for a big one. It'll probably happen in April.....

I got nothing against drinking but the idiots get themselves snaked up a little and start ripping around where they shouldn't, running into trees, falling through the ice. A few years ago a guy killed himself, hit a tree 12-14 feet above the ground.
Are you saying the cops have dui check points on trails ????we usually stick to the old forge ny area because the enforce this stuff pretty heavily.
