Man, I wish that I could!! I am resigned to the fact that there will be no NHL season this year. I will probably ferry over to Bridgeport when they play the CT Whalers , the islanders & rangers farm teams respectively.
I think ALL of the top line players from the NHL should go play in Europe or Russia for a few years and show the owners what a watered down sh!tty product will do to the annual revenues! That or try and form their own league!! Then and only then will the owners budge.
Oh yeah, and Bettman needs to go. I never liked that guy!

I have been a Blue Jackets season ticket holder since day one but I can't hold on any longer! I would rather spend the money on boat stuff. At least then I can enjoy watching the cash go down the drain!

I hear that brother!! I gave up my season tix years ago! I used to pay $16.00 a seat to sit up in the blue section at the Garden. Those same seats now run $60-$100 dollars a piece!! I took my 2 boys in to a game each of the last 2 seasons and after tickets, train fare & some food I spent over $400, just for one game!!! That's ridiculous especially that I am sitting way up!! They have priced it out of range for families IMHO.
On a side note, How did you feel about the Rick Nash trade?

That was a tough one to deal with ... Especially to the Rangers!!! But Rick wanted to leave and you couldn't blame him. The Jackets have only made the playoffs once in 10 years! I know what you mean about the cost getting out of control.

I understand. Anisimov is a good player and with more playing time I think he will get you 20-30 goals a year. I was sorry to see him go.
I also hope Dubinsky has a bounce back year for your team, when they play again. He was a good but streaky player for us. I hope the change of scenery does him well. He really should be a solid 25 goal scorer.
The book is still out on Erixon but, I will say his dad was the best defensive forward in the NHL for years when he played for us and the kid did cost us a little to get his rights away from Calgary. He was very highly rated in the minors although that doesn't always carry over to the NHL. I still think he is going to be a very steady second pair (maybe first) defensman for many years.

Just kidding, as a transported yankee, I'll take any NHL talk I can get. Hell, player trades in the middle of a strike season is better than some chick that claims she can clean carpets.
