Need to replace ignition switch on my 99 270 sundancer. Is it really as easy just removing the old one and matching up the 4 wires on the appropiate posts?! Just curious if there's any surprises I'm not thinking about ahead of time. Other than the usual "easy job" that goes horribly wrong and costs 3 times as much in the end!

It's not a difficult repair to do yourself. One wire is the (+ or P) DC positive line in, another is the (I) ignition, and the last position is (S) Start on basic ignition switches. There are some switches that have an (A) accessory lead so you can power up some DC items like the radio without turning on the ignition too. There are also other which have a manual electronic choke lead too.

While you have it apart check on the wire connectors if they are corroded at all its only easy to change them. Use marine grade terminals with the built in heat shrink to guarantee many years of trouble free service.
