2006 searay 260 350 mag.
Want change ignition coil out but is there another alternative to the mercruiser one.Better price same quality.Will a GM automotive one work just as good.I know marine versus automotive but the one one it looks identical to automotive even d

I've done it for a short period of time for a test, but more intelligent people than me say don't do it. Supposedly there are 3 GM coils that physically look the same but are different

Just getting started on it.Previous owner didnt do a good job with maintenance.Changed all filters,hoses,impellars motor and gen set.Changed main 40 amp breaker,and main battery relay.New batteries,plugs,plug wires and distributer cap.Sent rpm gauge off to be refurbished cant read codes will be back Monday.Went through wiring found corroded grounds and 12volt wires cleaned and replaced.Motor cuts out drops rpm then takes right back off.Fuel is good,pressure also.Just thought it could be coil.

Sent DB electric engine specs to see if they make one for it.They have them for horizon and other 350s.
