If you ever run with your canvas up, you need this to protect your family.

As I left tonight for a sunset cruise with my isinglass up I not only have this CO detector at the helm to signal dangerous CO levels but it has a digital display to show low levels too. This alerts me to add additional ventilation before dangerous levels are present. Depending on the vessel direction to the wind direction different ventilation was needed to keep CO levels at pure 0. Best of all it is cheap relative to value at around $30.

I also run with a similar detector on mine when I have the camper enclosure in place. I consider a CO-detector a must because CO does build up in those situations and can be dangerous.

Is you primary concern fumes from the generator or from engine fumes being drawn into the cockpit?
