If water system was not winterized what problems could there be?

JVM, thanks for the info! Like I said, at some point I know I'll have to do it but I'm not there yet. It's on the trailer so it could last quite a while. $9 a foot isn't too bad, but if that is just the painting I can do that!!

If I have the number right, for $9 a foot the boatyard owner suppiled the paint. A gallon of paint can be had for about $100 though if you shop around. That is plenty to re-coat the bottom on a 30' boat. You'll probably have some left over.

Jim, it usually takes me about 3/4 of a gallon to put one coat on the bottom. I usually use two coats of ablative for my area, in slip for 7 months. This year I'm going to try to use the partial can I have and get by with one coat as the bottom looks pretty good.

Well as suspected I have several water leaks from not winterizing the system. So this may delay my launch next week :smt089 It's not the marina's fault as I should have asked them about it when I brought the boat back in November

I also need 1 new battery at $130 installed :smt009

A battery is easy to replace yourself. I put a set of Optima blue tops in my boat last season. Turned out Amazon had the best price on them AND free shipping.

Bummer about the water leaks. Hopefully they'll find everything the first time, wouldn't want to have to deal with continued work over the whole season. The labor for that is going be killer...

Just wondering if your fresh water tank, hot water heater, pressure pumps, or waste tank were damaged? Good luck with the rest of the plumbing. Hopefully, all the leaks will be easy to get to....
